Madurai: Southern Railway has identified five stations in Tamil Nadu for setting up water recycling plants during the current financial year.
A railway release said the plants would be set up in Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Coimbatore, Erode and Villupuram, which handle high volume of passenger traffic.
A total of 32 stations have been identified, all over the country, for setting up water recycling plants.
Water recycling plants were already functional in 29 major railway stations in various parts of the country, it added.
