Hyderabad, December 09: The suicide spree by Telangana sympathisers refused to abate even on Tuesday with three TRS activists and a student committing suicide and two others trying to end their lives in Karimnagar, Warangal and Nalgonda districts. A tribal girl, who attempted sucide on Monday, succumbed to burns on Tuesday, while three others died of shock overcome by TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao’s health condition. The number of suicides went up to 22.
Ravi Goud, 30, hanged himself at his residence at Mallareddypet village in Gambhiraopet mandal of Karimnagar district. He left a suicide note stating that he was dying for the cause of a separate Telangana. B Sudhakar, 40, died at MGM hospital in Warangal on Tuesday. He set himself ablaze at Nitturu village in Peddapalli mandal on Monday evening.
At Ramajipet village in Yadagirigutta mandal of Nalgonda, TRS activist Yuvacharan immolated himself, while a student Dharavatu Sudhakar hanged himself to death at Rampur thanda in Turkapalli mandal of Nalgonda. “Sudhakar was upset over the police lathicharge on OU students fighting for Telangana,” a relative said.
A 21-year-old PG student, D Rathan Kumar, of Narakkapally in Nallaballi mandal of Warangal tried to commit suicide by consuming pesticide. He was admitted to hospital in a critical condition, while a TRS activist Ramana tried to end his life at Mallapur in Nalgonda.
Meanwhile, two persons reportedly died of heart attack while watching TV news about the deteriorating health condition of KCR. Gopi Ramulu of Mallapur in Yadagirigutta mandal died in the afternoon. M Pulla Reddy, 45, of Motlapally village in Mogullapally mandal and P Kattaiah, 35, of Lenkalapally village in Nallaballi mandal of Warangal died of heart attack.
