5 killed in New Jersey plane crash

Trenton, February 16: At least five people, including two children, were killed when a small plane crashed during landing in New Jersey, officials say.

Three men, a teenager and a younger child were killed Monday afternoon at Monmouth Executive Airport, said Capt. Tim Clayton.

The plane was based at the airport and was returning to land when the crash occurred, he added.

The airport is located in Monmouth County, a largely affluent area that is home to many business executives, entertainers and upscale seaside communities.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.
