Five persons, including a mother and her 9-month-old daughter, were killed and six injured in two road accidents in Andhra Pradesh today. At Ranga Reddy district, a 28-year-old woman and her daughter were killed and her brother seriously injured when a two-wheeler in which they were travelling was hit by a lorry at Kesara Mandal in the district. The mishap occurred at Rampalli-Cheralpalli Road when they are proceeding to Yadagirigutta from Cherlapalli.
The deceased were identified as Hemalatha and her daughter Archana, according to police. A report from Kakinada said a three-member family was killed and five injured when the car in which they were travelling went out of control, in a bid to avert dashing with a motorcyclist on the national highway near Jagannadhagiri Village under Tuni Rural Police Station Limits. The injured were rushed to Area hospital at Tuni and the mishap occurred when they were proceeding to Visakhapatnam from Vijayawada to attend a marriage. The deceased were identified as Bogina Govindarao (45), Bogina Madhu (32)- both of whom died on the spot and Bogina Paramesh (32) who succumbed to injuries at the hospital. UNI
