Ahmedabad, February 04: Five members of a family were killed and as many were injured when their jeep rammed into a tanker on Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway near Mehmedabad early today. The mishap occurred at around 0630 hours early this morning, when a speeding jeep rammed into a tanker near Mehmedabad on Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway. Five members of the family were killed on the spot, Mehmedabad police said. Primary investigation revealed that the driver of the jeep lost control over the vehicle after the burst of a tyre, leading to the accident. The injured have been admitted to a hospital here, where their condition is stated to be serious. The deceased have been identified as Vasant Shah (50), Ramila Vasant Shah (48), Nikunj Vasant Shah (15), Rita Dinesh Shah (46) and Dinal Shah (15).
