JAMMU: Seven persons, including five members of a family, were killed and four others were injured in two separate road accidents in Jammu and Udhampur districts of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.
The five persons of the family, including a 4-year-old child, were yesterday killed and two others were injured when the car they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Domana area here, they said.
The mishap occurred when the family was on its way to Kargil from Jammu, police said, adding on getting information, police rushed to the spot and evacuated the bodies and the injured were taken to the Government Medical College (GMC) hospital.
In a separate mishap, two persons, including a police constable, were killed last evening and two others injured when their car collided with a vehicle on Jammu and Kashmir National Highway at Malad Morh in Udhampur district, they said.
Police have registered separate casesand initiated investigations, they added.
