New Delhi, April 07: Five teenagers, including three minor students, were apprehended here for allegedly stealing motorcycles, police said today.
Lokesh (18) and four students of Class XII and X were apprehended from Shastri Nagar yesterday during a vehicle check, Rupinder Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), said.
Six stolen motor cycles have been allegedly recovered from their possession.
“Lokesh is the gang leader. His father is a patient of asthma and he was in need of money. He planned to arrange the money by committing theft of motorcycles. He lured his four minor friends.
“For this purpose, they have managed to procure a master key to open the lock of any motor cycle. With the help of this key they have stolen six motor cycles so far from Saraswati Vihar, Sarai Rohilla, Rajouri Garden, Bharat Nagar and Moti Nagar,” Kumar said.
