Telangana Waqf Board has identified 5 acre 10 guntas of land under Masjid Nana Bagh, Basheer Bagh in its first survey and has decided to issue notice to institutions and buildings coming under it to vacate the premises.
Chief Executive Officer Waqf Board Mohammed Asadullah told that after reviewing the record of Masjid Nana Bagh two gazettes were found in the Waqf Board. The first gazette which dates back to 1976 mentions 7 beegha land attached to the masjid which comes to 5 acre 10 guntas. 2nd gazette dates back to 1984 which identifies 16 acre land attached to the masjid. He informed that Lok Ayukt office, Kirloskar hospital, function hall, main road, 3 big buildings and a part of old MLA quarters are located on the Waqf land. Hence notice will be served to all the institutions and other buildings on Monday to vacate the premises.
