Hyderabad, September 23: Auto drivers union has decided to take part in the ongoing general strike in support of separate Telangana state hence autos will be off the road from the midnight of Friday, September 23 in all the districts of Telangana including Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Telangana auto drivers’ union Joint action committee has decided for a 2-day auto bandh in twin cities from September 23 to express solidarity with the government employees’ strike.
Convenor JAC Mohammad Amanullah Khan told that auto drivers will organise various agitation programmes including dharna, rasta roko etc. Apart from this effigies of TDP and Congress MLAs, who have not rendered resignations, will be burnt. A rally will be taken out by the drivers from Baghlingampally to Indira park on September 25 and a public meeting will be held in which TRS chief K Chandershekhar Rao, Convenor JAC Prof. Kodanda Ram and other leaders will address.
