Hyderabad: Forty Seven YSR Congress party MLAs have been suspended from the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly for one day today, by the Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad following the recommendation by the Legislative Affaires minister Yanamala Ramakrishudu. The Speaker suspended all the members of the opposition, except its leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
While reading the names of the opposition MLAs to be suspended, Yanamala read out the name of MLA Adinarayana Reddy who recently joined in ruling party, and later corrected it by requesting the Speaker to delete the MLAs name from the list.
While Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was repying to the debte on the motion of thanks to the governor for his address to the joint sitting of the Legislature, members of opposition raised persistent slogans demanding CBI investigation on Amaravathi land deals, which eventually resulted in their suspension.(NSS)
