A 45-year-old man committed suicide allegedly due to harassment by illegal financiers.
According to Neredment police, the deceased, Md Saleem, resorted to extreme step by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Chandragiri Colony on Thursday night. He was allegedly being harassed by three illegal financiers – Srinivas, Chandramohan and Prabhakar – from whom he took loan a few months ago. They were allegedly threatening him over phone demanding return of their loan amounts. Police have registered a case of Abetment of Suicide against the financiers under Section 306 IPC and began investigations.
