450 crore for Minority welfare

Hyderabad, January 26: The finance department has sanctioned a budget of 450 crore rupees for the year 2012-13. Sources of finance department told that the minority welfare department is being informed about the sanction of 450 crore rupees while finalizing different categories. Thus it is likely to sanction 150 crore more than the last year’s budget.

It is said that the finance department has also given approval for the formation of commissionerate of minority welfare. Andhra Pradesh will be the first state where separate commissionerate will be established for minority welfare. Agreeing to the proposal finance department has advised to seek cabinet approval for this. Since chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is serious over formation of separate commissionerate hence it is hoped that it would get approval in the next cabinet meeting.
