A 45-year-old woman committed suicide by consuming some unknown poison.
According to Panjagutta police, the deceased, T Jayanthi Vatsala, took the extreme step on Tuesday at her residence in Anand Nagar of Khairtabad. She was immediately rushed to Gandhi Hospital where she was declared brought dead. Jayanthi was a government employee and was reportedly feeling lonely and upset since the death of her husband TVN Varma a few months ago. The same reason is suspected to have driven her to suicide.
