43 pc people for and 55 pc against Telangana: survey

Hyderabad, February 19: Praja Rajyam party won 70 lakh votes during 2009 general elections but its merger with Congress has done no good to Congress. Praja Rajyam’s votes are snatched away by Jagan Mohan Reddy in Seemandhra and by TRS in Telangana region.

43 percent people favoured Telangana formation while 55 percent opposed it. 40 percent people are in support of declaring Hyderabad a part of Telangana and 30 percent people advocated making it a joint capital of both the states. While 24 percent people wished to make it a union territory.

43 percent people claimed Srikrishna committee prepared the best report while 43 percent flayed it for not preparing correct report.

These surprising revelations were disclosed by a survey conducted by a local Telugu news channel NTV and Nelson ORG marg in order to view the current political situation.

94 percent people in Telangana region supported separate state of Telangana, while 94 percent from Coastal Andhra were in favour of keeping Andhra a united state.

On the whole 55 percent people were for keeping the state united and 43 percent favoured its bifurcation.
