The Sikh community of Greater Hyderabad will celebrate the 419th ”Prakash Purab” (Birthday celebrations) of sixth Sikh Guru, Guru Hargobind Sahebji on a grand scale on July 6, 2014 (Sunday).
In this connection, the Prabhandak Committee, Gurudwara Saheb, Hargobindpuri, Amberpet, Telangana will organise ”Vishaal Deewan” (Mass Congregation) at Maharana Pratap Function Hall, Amberpet from 11 am to 3.30 pm on July 6, 2014 (Sunday).
Prabhandak Committee Gurudwarta Saheb Hargobindpuri, Amberpet, President, S Bhag Singh and other committee members said that in the Vishaal Deewan (Mass Congregation), large number Sikh devotees and other community faiths from across the state will attend the congregation.
The event will be marked by recitations of Gurubani Keertans (holy hymns) by reputed Ragi Jathas (community preachers) who are specially being invited from various parts of the country to render Shabad Keertans and throw light on the teachings of Sikh gurus.
Bhai Gurmail Singhji (Punjab), Bibi Harjeet Kaur, TV Artist from Hoshiarpur, Students of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, Hazuri Ragi Bhai Gunwant Singhji and other Ragi Jathas will recite Gurbani keertans. After the culmination of the congregation Guru-ka-Langar (free community kitchen) will be served to the devotees.
