Telangana government has so far released the aid of Rs. 51000 each to 4114 applicants of Shaadi Mubarak Scheme. Now that only one week remains for the financial year 2014-15 to end, Minority Welfare Department has decided to expedite the process and resolve all pending applications.
Government launched the scheme on October 2 however implementation began in November. Minority Welfare Department received 5999 applications under the scheme during 4 months period of which 4565 were approved. The government has kept the budget of this scheme under green channel so that the approved applications need not wait for Finance Department’s approval for release of amount.
It must be noted that the government had allocated 100 cr for the scheme and had set the target to provide financial assistance to 20000 poor minority girls.
