Shimoga (Kar), April 14: Over 4,000 SSLC Hindi answer sheets, kept in a school here for evaluation was destroyed in a fire, police said today.
The answer sheets had been stored at the Basaveshwara High School here. Evaluation was to commence from April 18.
Police suspect the fire might have been caused due to short circuit.
A school official said he would verify tomorrow to which district the answer scripts belonged to.
