4000 Sq Yard of Govt Schools land given to HMR for Metro Train free of Cost…?

Amjed Ullah Khan (Corporator) MBT along with Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) and Board of Secondary Education Department officials seen inspecting the School Building area which was demolished for Metro Train. The Commissioner Board of Secondary Education and the Dist. Collector, Hyderabad had handed over the land ad-measuring 4000 Sq Yards worth Rs/ 20 Crores of land belonging to the five Govt Schools to Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) for construction of Metro Train Station. The Schools which have been affected are

1) Govt. City Model Primary School (English Medium)
2) Govt. City Model High School (English Medium)
3) Govt. Girls Primary School, Kattalguda (Old) (Telugu Medium)
4) Govt. Gils High School, Chaderghat (Old) (Telugu Medium)
5) Govt. Primary School Amara Jeevi Potti Sriramulu (AJPS) Telugu Medium)

There were nearly 700 Students but after shifting the School there has been a huge drop in the attendance and only 100 students attended the School. The Schools which used to function from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM are forced to function in a shift system from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM.Due to dismantling of the School Buildings in the mid of the academic year the future of School Children’s had been affected and they may face problems in their final exams. When it was informed that the School Buildings are being given to the HMR for Metro Train, Mr Amjed Ullah Khan (Corporator) petitioned the Andhra Pradesh Human Rights Commission to stop the vacation or Demolition of the said School Building. On the said petition a report was called from the Dist. Collector and the Managing Director Hyderabad Metro Rail by the Honble Commission. The Dist. Collector Hyderabad after an inquiry by the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) Hyderabad assured the Honble Commission that he has not ordered for any School to be Shifted or Demolished for Metro Train.Inspite of the assurance by the Collector to the Honble Human Rights Commission the School Building was demolished during the Diwali Holidays and students were put in lurch.

Mr. Amjed Ullah Khan (Corporator) alleged that there has been high corruption in handing over of the said 4000 Sq Yard land of Govt. Schools worth Rs/ 20 Crores to the HMR free of cost. Many officers of Education Department have been paid hefty amounts as bribe for handing over the School land.Mr Amjed Ullah Khan (Corporator) demanded an high level inquiry against the Education Department officials by a sitting High Court Judge or by State Vigilance Department as to how come the said land made for the purpose of Education was handed for commercial purpose.Mr Khan said denying Education to a child is violation of fundamental Right and also violation of Right to Education (RTE).Mr. Khan also said that top Politicians are also involved in the case.
