Sala, April 30: Representative of the President in the Western Region Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan has said 400 residential units will be built for citizens in Sala town in the Western Region.
The move is on the instructions from President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and follow up from General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to build an integrated city. It will also include clinics, schools, parks and other premises.
Shaikh Hamdan said the new city will be completed in the next six months after the endorsement of the designs and invitation of tender ahead of submitting it to the executive authority to endorse the budget.
This was announced by Shaikh Hamdan during a tour to Sala town to inspect the conditions and ensure that services were rendered to the towns and suburbs of the Abu Dhabi emirate. He listened to the views and opinions of the citizens regarding the services. Shaikh Hamdan ordered meeting their requirements.
On their part, Sala citizens expressed their happiness in meeting Shaikh Hamdan, wishing him success to serve the country.
Sheikh Hamdan opened the Sala Centre for People with Special Needs of The Zayed Higher Foundation for Humanitarian Care, People with Special Needs and Minor’s Affairs. He said this category enjoys full support from the leadership. —
