Palestine: A Minor 4-year-old Palestinian child is reported to have succumbed to wounds he sustained from Israeli gunfire four days ago during the anti-occupation protests in the Gaza Strip reported Palestinian Health Ministry yesterday.
The minor is identified as Ahmed Yassir Abu Abed, hailed from the eastern city of Khan Younis was injured during the protest, the ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qidra said in a statement.
“He was martyred today,” he said, AA reports.
According to statistics, more than 210 Palestinians have been martyred while thousands were reported injured by the Israeli army gunfire during protests in the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian Protesters are demanding the “right of return” to their homes and villages from which they were driven out back in 1948 to pave way for the building of new Israeli state.
The protestors also demand an end to Israel’s 11-year blockade of the Gaza Strip which is depriving basic commodities to more than 2 million inhabitants of the region.
