4-year-old boy rescued, kidnapper arrested

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police arrested an auto-driver for kidnapping four-year-old boy. Nagesh had gone missing a fortnight ago in Attapur. Auto driver Sunkara Gangaiah was trying to sell the kid for Rs 1 lakh.

Finding the boy unattended, Gangaiah offered him chocolates and took him to Guntakal from Lingampally railway station in Hyderabad. The parents of the boy approached police. Cops immediately circulated the photo and the details to all police stations in Telangana and AP and finally acting upon a tip off nabbed the culprit.

According to the police S Gangaiah sells herbal medicines at a road-side kiosk at Attapur. To make quick money, Gangaiah decided to kidnap boys and sell them to childless couple.

A case of kidnap was registered against the accused who was sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
