Chatra, January 18: Four members of a breakaway Maoist faction were today arrested in Chatra district of Jharkhand, police said.
Self-styled zonal commander Lamxan Ganju and regional commander Mukesh Ganju, belonging to the ‘Tritiya Prastuti Committee’, a breakaway group of CPI (Maoist), were arrested from Tandua area in the district, police said.
The remaining arrested members were identified as Samsul Hoda and Taj Khan.
Around Rs 3.75 lakh in cash was seized from them which the police believe have been extorted from local contractors.
