A 48-year-old woman died on the spot after she was hit by a speeding lorry in Malkajgiri police limits.
The accident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday when the deceased, Shaik Amina, was hit by the lorry near her residence in Hanuman Nagar of Moulali. The Malkajgiri police have registered a case against the lorry driver for rash driving.
In another case, Md Khaleel, 25, a driver, died of injuries which he sustained on January 13 after being hit by an unidentified vehicle near Anoml Function Hall in Chandrayangutta police limits while crossing the road. He was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where he died on Tuesday. Khaleel, a driver, was a resident of Aman Nagar in Yakutpura, according to Sub-Inspector M Srinivas Rao.
In a similar case, Rajkumar Koery, 45, of Mallapur, succumbed to the grievous injuries which he sustained after being hit by a motorcycle while crossing the road near Osmania University on Monday night. He was admitted to Gandhi Hospital where he died on Tuesday.
In a different case, 60-year-old A Balaiah died on the spot after he was hit by a motorcycle near his residence in Jeedimetla Post Office area on Monday night. The Jeedimetla police have registered a case against the bike rider. (INN)
