Hyderabad, September 28 (Siasat News): Four new trains were flagged off by Union minister of state for railways K H Muniyappa at the Kacheguda station here on Monday including Hyderabad-Ajmer bi-weekly express, Kacheguda-Miryalguda DEMU, Kacheguda-Mahaboobnagar DEMU and the Matrubhoomi Special MMTS ladies’ service.
Speaking on the occasion minister of state for railways KH Muniyappa said ‘his government has announced for 271 new train services of which 126 trains have commenced their services. As far as the AP state is concerned 16 new train services were announced of which 4 have been flagged off today.’
He declared Hyderabad-Ajmer express as the first direct broad-gauge train. He said ‘as compared to the previous budget of Rs 780 crore, AP got a budgetary allocation of Rs 1,869 crore in the current union Railway budget.’
Chief Minister K Rosaiah who was also present on the occasion observed that
traveling by train was cheaper and safer and said ‘Ajmer is very popular among devotees and the beginning of Hyderabad-Ajmer express would help pilgrims to a great extent.
