Four medical students died on the spot when the car in which they were traveling collided head-on with an RTC bus. The accident occurred at Theegalaguttapalli crossing Kareem Nagar on Wednesday.
According to police sources Rachuri Rahul (20), from Bodduppal in Hyderabad, Phirangi Navakanth (20) from Parkal in Warangal, Mahesh Naik (20) from Acchampet in Mahboob Nagar, Gorre Nani (21) from Devikonda village in Kareem Nagar, studying MBBS II year at the Pratima Institute of Medical Sciences located at Nagunur near Kareem Nagar city, were returning to the city after attending classes. Near Theegalaguttapalli crossing their car rammed into an RTC bus. The impact was so intense that the car completely stuck into the front part of the bus. Although the driver of the bus put the brake but the momentum was so intense that the bus dragged the car to a little distance. Bus passengers sustained mild injuries due to sudden brake. As the car was crushed under the wheels of the RTC bus, crane was used to remove the mangled remains of the car and the bodies.
