4 killed in different road accidents

A 30-year-old man died on the spot when the car he was driving was hit by a lorry in Vanasthalipuram police limits.

The accident occurred late Wednesday night on Auto Nagar – LB Nagar road near traffic signal. The deceased has been identified as B Venkatarao, a resident of Annojiguda near Ghatkesar. Vanasthalipuram police have registered a case against the lorry driver.

In another case, M Seethaiah, 53, succumbed to the injuries which he sustained on February 10 after the bike he was riding was hit and run by an unidentified vehicle near Hayathnagar crossroads. He was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where he died on Wednesday night. He was a lineman and resident of Old Hayathnagar.

In a similar case, Ramchander Naveen, 26, and his friend Vijaya Raj, 22, sustained grievous injuries when the motorcycle they were riding was hit and run by an unidentified vehicle on Tomkunta Road on Wednesday night. Both were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where Naveen was declared brought dead. Raj is undergoing treatment and is said to be in a critical condition. Naveen was an electrician and resident of Karkhana, according to Shamirpet police.

In a separate case, Ramesh, 30, died of injuries which he sustained on January 29 when he was hit by an unidentified motorcycle near his house in Momimpet of Ranga Reddy district. He succumbed at the OGH on Wednesday night while undergoing treatment, according to Mominpet police. (INN)
