4 Indians set to Hajj on cycles; Pakistan becomes hurdle

New Delhi: 4 Indians residents of Pusad, Maharashtra have planned to bicycle their way to Hajj. They left for Hajj in April. After travelling seven thousand kilometres, they will reach Makkah Madina in Saudi Arabia. The young cyclists who aspire to go to Hajj on cycles are Irfan Khan Mahboob Khan, Daulat Khan Nasir Khan, Sheikh Amjad Sheikh Mohammed and Shaikh Tawfiq Shaikh Munaf.

They will travel through Amravati, Delhi, Betul, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran. Their luggage is water, three dresses, passports and bicycle repair equipment. While Irfan Khan is a transport professional in Parvatinagar in Pusad, three others are private drivers.

They embarked from Pune Maharashtra and passing through various cities and villages reached New Delhi but due to India’s strained relationship with Pakistan, they could not move further as the foreign ministry did not give visa to them.
