CID issued 4 FIRs against ex-Chairman Waqf Board Mr. Ghulam Afzal Biabani better known as Khusro Pasha and other Waqf Board workers and registered cases of criminal conspiracy and criminal breach of trust against them. Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel Special Secretary Minority Welfare Department acting upon the report received from AP Vigilance Commissioner had directed Mirza Hasan Ali Baig of Waqf Commissionerate to conduct probe. After receiving the investigative report he lodged 4 separate complaints with CID.
CID told that ex-Chairman Waqf Board Mr. Ghulam Afzal Biabani better known as Khusro Pasha, ex-chief executive officer Waqf Board Mr. Habeebuddin Ahmed and senior assistant Mohammed Shamsuddin had violated Waqf Act and used the endowed property of Dargah Hazrat Ishaq Madani Awliya located at Vishakhapatnam for their personal gain and thus caused great damages to the board. Gold jewellery and cash was also received in exchanged to it.
Senior Executive Officer CID Mr. K Ashok Chakravarty told that after receiving complaints from special secretary Minority Welfare Department, cases have been registered against the said persons under sections 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of Indian Penal Code.
