Hyderabad, September 13: Four more people succumbed to the dreaded swine flu during the last 24 hours in Andhra Pradesh taking the toll due to influenza A(H1N1) in the state to eight.
A 28-year-old woman died while undergoing treatment in a local private hospital this morning.
According to hospital sources, she was admitted to hospital for treatment with swine flu symptoms 15 days back.
The condition of the seven more patients, who were undergoing treatment in the hospital, was stable. One person died at the Government-run Gandhi Hospital, while two others died in private corporate hospitals, yesterday, taking the tatal due to the influenza to eight so far, they added.
As many as six patients, who had tested postive, were being treated at the Government-run Chest Hospital here, sources said.
So far, over 3.47 lakh air passengers had been tested and as many as 127 positive cases were detected, with 120 of them were discharged after treatment, officials said.
