The sub division police here today arrested four persons involved in as many as 24 burglaries in and around Kakinada police station limits and recovered Rs 21 lakhs worth of Gold and silver articles.
At a press conference the Superintendent of Police Dr C Trivikrama Varma identified the four arrested as Syed Altaf(30) of Chirala Guntur district, Thandu Ramakrishna (28) of Koppaka village, West Godavari district, Yedida Satyanarayana (35) and Ramavarapu Srinivas(34), both from V K Rayapuram village near Samalkot.
The recovered property included gold ornaments weighing 500 grams, silver articles weighing 6.5 kgs, four lap tops, the LCD TV, six cameras and one Pulsar motorcycle.
The SP complimented DSP Sai Sri and Rural CI Sarat Rajkumar for a major recovery of stolen property.
