Noida Police today arrested four persons, all B.Tech degree holders, for running a fake tour company and duping innocent people.
SP Crime and Cyber Cell incharge Bharti Singh told reporters that the arrests were made on the basis of an FIR
lodged by Vineet Kumar Nigori, a resident of Delhi, who was conned in the name of cheap tour package of Kashmir which never materialised.
Since Nigori had paid the amount through internet, the Cyber Cell conducted investigation and the company’s gateway
knowledge was collected and investigation started.
When police scanned facebook and internet, several other cases were found where the company had cheated innocent
persons.
They used to call from different mobile phone numbers to persons offering cheap tour packages and then used to cheat them.
The Cyber Cell and Noida phase-2 team arrested Amit Singh, Amar Pratap Singh, Anup Singh and Pankaj Tyagi from
Raguraj Tyagi Market on Bhangel road and recovered laptop, computer, walkie talkie, cheque book and other documents from them,” the SP said, adding all of them all were B.Tech degree holders and through internet used to dupe people.
