Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said that the government has so far distributed 3844 units of sheep among the Yadavas across 30 districts as part of the prestigious Sheep Rearing scheme launched on June 20.
The Minister held a review meeting at his Chambers in Secretariat here and took stock of the scheme being implemented. The Government has launched the scheme a brainchild of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to empower Yadavas financially by giving 75 per cent of subsidy he said. Since KCR is personally looking into the sheep scheme there shall not be any lapses and irregularities in its implementation.
The Ministers, MLAs, MPs and other people representatives participating in the program to help the Gollas and Kurumas in a big way he said. He asked the officials to coordinate with official teams went to other states to purchase sheep and resolve related issues by coordinating with district officials. Sheep Development Federation Chairman Rajaiah Yadav, Principal Secretary Suresh Chanda and others attended. (NSS)
