Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao has announced that the State government was giving various pensions to 35,92,134 people. The TRS government has given a total of Rs 9651.39 crore to Aasara Scheme since its inception.
Responding to a question raised by TRS MLA Aroori Ramesh during question hour in the Assembly on Friday, Jupally said the government would spend Rs 25,000 crore for five years. He said the government was still receiving Aasara applications and the government was ready to extend the pensions for all the eligible persons.
Participating in the discussion, Bhadrachalam MLA Sunnam Rajaiah demanded that the State government give pension to those crossed 50 years in tribal villages. He urged the government to solve the problem of finger prints. “Please solve the problem as soon as possible as the officials were not giving pension saying that the finger prints are not matching”, he said.
