Rewari, August 26: Police today arrested two persons for their allegedly involvement in manufacturing fake ghee and seized 3180 kg of spurious ghee in Dharuhera near here.
Following a tip-off, a specially constituted police team conducted raids at the shops of three dealers – Surender Sharma, Mahender Singhal and Laxmi Narain, District police chief K Venkat Ramana said.
While Sharma and Singhal were arrested for their allegedly involvement in manufacturing spurious ghee, Narain managed to flee from the shop, he said.
The police party seized 210 tins containing 3180 kg of spurious ghee and also took into possession a fair quantity of chemical used to prepare fake desi ghee, 113 small plastic bags and 13 empty LPG cylinders from there, he said.
