31 more Minority Residential Schools proposed in Greater Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Government has proposed to establish 31 more Minority Residential Schools in Greater Hyderabad limits from the next academic year. The number of schools was finalised in a meeting with public representatives. It is said that presently 9 residential schools are functional in 15 assembly constituencies including 5 boys’ schools and 4 girls’ schools. Two schools were formed in Bahadurpura assembly constituency while one school each was formed in Nampally, Charminar, Malakpet, Karwan, Musheerabad, Secunderabad Cantonment and Chandrayangutta assembly constituencies.

It is proposed to establish 31 more schools from next academic year which makes the total number of schools to 40. 20 schools will function for girls while 20 for boys. Under new plan, 3 schools will be established in Nampally and Charminar assembly constituencies, while two in Bahadurpura, Malakpet, Karwan, Khairiatabad, Jubilee Hills, Chandrayangutta and Secunderabad. 4 schools in Yaqutpura, 3 in Goshamahal, while one each in Musheerabad, Amberpet and Sanath Nagar areas will be established.
