Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao told that Shaadi Mubarak Scheme was introduced to provide financial assistance to poor Muslim girls under which Rs. 51000 is given to each Muslim bride at the time of her marriage. Replying to the question raised by Vamshi Chandra Reddy and others in the assembly, Chief Minster informed that a total 5015 applications were submitted in 10 districts of Telangana till March 5, of which 3086 were approved. He denied delay in implementation of the scheme due to lack of coordination between officials of Minority Welfare, Treasury and Revenue Department.
