With the beginning of summer season begins the holiday season and people head for the recreation centres to enjoy their holidays. Compared to the other picnic spots in the city, Nehru Zoological Park has got the position of the most favourite picnic spots these days. This is reflected by the number of visitors visited Zoo this Sunday which is a record in itself.
According to Zoo officials the total number of visitors arrived last Sunday was 30611 which is the 2nd highest record during past 6 months. The department of Zoo received an income of 744070 rupees for the day. The revenue included ticket for cars, cameras etc as the visitors had brought 299 cars, 587 cameras and 30 video cameras.
