3,000-year-old mummified teddy story was elaborate April Fool’s hoax

The story about archaeologists unearthing a 3,000-year-old mummified teddy bear has turned out to be a very elaborate joke for April Fool’s Day.

It was reported that Ancient Egyptians not only cuddled with the toys but also worshipped them, the Daily Express reported.

It was said that the toy was excavated in a funerary deposit in the Valley of the T’eds, near Luxor in Egypt and was perfectly preserved and was found in its own miniature coffin. (ANI)
