Hyderabad September 20 (Siasat News): Three hundred Hajj aspirants selected by the AP state Hajj committee for the Holy pilgrimage have cancelled their tour for various reasons.
According to AP State Hajj Committee, Central Hajj committee’s direction is awaited to allow other Hajj aspirants to travel on the seats vacated by 300 aspirants due to cancellation of tour.
Mr. Habeeb Uddin Ahmed Chief Executive Officer and Secretary Hajj Committee told that no direction had been issued in this regard by the Central Hajj Committee so far.
According to the sources, of the 300 Hajj aspirants cancelled their tour nearly 80 belonged to Hyderabad. As stated by Mr. Habeeb Uddin Ahmed, selection of other Hajj aspirants in the place of those who have cancelled the tour will be possibly made by drawing lots.
Generally vacant seats cancelled by the aspirants selected by the State Hajj Committee are taken over by the Central Hajj Committee which should not be done actually. If the State Hajj Committee immediately acts upon and selects other candidates in place of those who cancelled their tours then 300 seats will be saved. Otherwise if it dilly dallies over the issue then the 300 seats will be lost by the state.
