30 pilgrims injured in road accident

Muzaffarnagar, January 16: At least 30 women pilgrims were seriously injured when a truck in which they were travelling overturned and fell into a gorge near here, police said today.

The incident happened yesterday when the pilgrims were returning after taking a dip in the river Ganga.

The vehicle overturned on the Delhi-Pauri highway and fell into a gorge, they said, adding the injured have been admitted to local hospital.
