Electricity employees in Andhra Pradesh are likely to get 30 per cent of fitment on the hike of their salaries from April 1 this year and 25 per cent of hike in all allowances.
The management during a meeting agreed to offer the fitment to be implemented from April last, said employees union secretary general Sai Baba. He also said that the government has accepted to give 2 increments to those with 15 years service and three increments for those who crossed 15 years of service in the electricity department. Retired employees will get 37.7 fitment, he added. Besides, Rs 1,000 medical allowance to all employees every month, the staff will get Rs 1,000 conveyance and officials Rs 2,000.(NSS)
