3-year-old rescued from well

Abu Dhabi, May 05: The Abu Dhabi Police managed to rescue a three-year-old Pakistani boy who fell into 11-metre-deep well of a low-cost residence in Mazeid district in Al Ain.

The doctors said the boy suffered light bruises.

The rescue team of the emergency and public security section of Abu Dhabi Police in Al Ain rushed to the scene and lifted him from the well.

Lt-Col Zayed Mohammed Al Hagiri, head of the section, said the patrols and ambulance rushed to the scene of the incident immediately when the police received the report. The rescue team located the boy in the well using a lamp. One of the specialists went down with the rescue equipment.

He ensured the boy was safe. He then pulled him safely out of the well.

The boy was administered first aid and rushed to Al Ain Government Hospital.

Al Hagiri called on all residents to cover all open water wells and not allow children to play around them without supervision.
