Bareilly: According to the statement made by Bareilly police, a woman was gang-raped in a UP bus by the driver and conductor. Her 14-days-old son was killed by the rapists. This incident took place at Sheeshgarh village on Monday night when all the fellow passengers had left the bus. Her 3-year-old daughter was the only witness to the gang-rape and murder.
She gave the details of gang-rape of her mother. It is reported the driver and the conductor forced the 28-year-old woman to drink wine and pushed her into an inebriated condition for 3 hours. The victim was not in a position to record her statement when asked by the police. However, her 3-year-old daughter who had hid herself in a corner of the bus narrated whole story first to the policemen and then to her father. Police registered cases against the driver and the conductor under section 376D and 304.
The woman was returning home on Monday night after attending a family function at Khapuriya. When she got off at her destination, the conductor offered her to drop her at her place. When the last passenger got off, they started assaulting her. When she resisted, the driver and conductor poured liquor into her mouth forcibly. They also flung her 14-day-old boy who died on the spot. Meanwhile, woman’s 3-year-old daughter hid herself behind a seat and watched the crime.
According to news published in TOI, talking on the incident, Madhu Garg, State Head of All India Democratic Women’s Association, said that the incident is ghastlier than Delhi’s Nirbhaya case as the accused killed the victim’s 14-day-old infant.
