Ghaziabad: Three persons were arrested from Modi Kirshi Farms area here and weapons including two country made pistols were recovered from them, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested three notorious robbers Kaish, Kamil and Salman last night and two country made pistol, one knife and iron rod were recovered from them, SHO of Modinagar Police Station Birjesh Sharma said.
Five motorcycles and three cars were seized from the residences of the arrested accused while two of their accomplices managed to flee, he said.
During interrogation the three accused confessed to have carried out a number of loots in the National Capital Region and had plans to rob a family of Seekri village, the SHO said.
An FIR has been registered against the accused and hunt is on to nab their absconding accomplices, Sharma said.
