The snow-hit areas of erstwhile Doda district will soon be supplied with three months of free ration, the Jammu and Kashmir government said today. “The snow-hit areas of erstwhile Doda district will soon be provided three months of free ration as announced by the government,” Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Qamar Ali Akhoon said here.
The assessment of damages in all the three districts Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban — have been completed by revenue
department and distribution of free ration can be started any time, Akhoon said.
He also instructed the revenue department authorities to take necessary steps to provide relief to affected people
under State Drought Relief Fund (SDRF). PTI
