Golconda police arrested 3-member gang which was involved in smuggling sandalwood trees from Qutub Shahi Tombs. Assistant Commissioner of Police Asif Nagar Mr. Ghouse Mohiuddin told that nine sandalwood trees were smuggled from the premises on the night of May 22.
Golconda police had registered a case in this connection. The crime team on the basis of suspicion arrested Jani Miyan (35), P Khaja Mohiuddin (26) and Mohammed Waheed (33) and interrogated them on which they admitted their crime.
Mr. Ghouse Mohiuddin told that the said persons entered into the premises and chopped down the trees with a hack saw blade in the dead of the night and transported the same in their auto rickshaw to their hometown Sigitam village in Medak district.
Inspector Golconda Mr. Syed Fayyaz played key role in arresting the persons involved in the theft.
