There are dozens of masajid in the city which are uninhabited. Their desecration continues unabated. To wipe out the very existence of several masajid avenues have been closed to obstruct the approach of Muslims towards these masajid.
It must be noted that atleast 70 Muslim students study in Agricultural University, Rajendranagar, while the teaching and non teaching staff has more than 30 Muslim employees. As it is not allowed to offer namaz in the above mentioned masajid they have to go outside the university campus to offer namaz. The 2 masajid built in Qutub Shahi period are in very dilapidated condition while another masjid which is Masjid eik-khana is in good condition. Similarly Afzalul Ulama Prof. Abul Wahab Gazi laid the foundation stone of a 5 arched masjid. Despite being in good condition 5-arched masjid is locked. Another 3-arched masjid has a dargah in a beautiful chaukhandi. All the three masajids have been hidden from the public view among the wild bushes.
Sadly no one paid attention towards inhabiting the masajid. Sources say that we are the main obstruction in inhabiting the masajid. General Muslims and influential personalities of the community never thought of inhabiting the masajid.
