Three persons were killed and four others injured when a lorry in which they were travelling overturned on Chennai-Kolkata National Highway near Kanimetta village in Poosapatirega mandal in vizianagaram distirct this morning. According to police, the accident occurred when the driver of the lorry suddenly applied brakes after noticing a stationary vehicle in front of the lorry and the vehicle skidded off the road. One person died on the spot while two others succumbed to injuries while being taken to hospital. The injured were admitted to a local hospital where condition of two of them was stated to be serious, police said. UNI
