3 investors approach APIIC for land

Hyderabad, November 17: Notwithstanding the controversies over Emaar Township and Raheja Mindspace, the AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) is receiving requests from some major investors to set up their industries in the state. Camozzi Group of Italy, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, and Hyosung Corporation of Korea are among the investors who approached the APIIC seeking allotment of land in the past two days.

Representatives of Camozzi Group called on APIIC vice-chairman and managing director B R Meena on Tuesday. They are planning to establish an equipment manufacturing unit for textiles and other industries with an investment of over `300 cr.

A delegation of Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India approached the APIIC officials with a proposal to set up their third manufacturing facility in the State. They are looking for around 100 acres of land and are expected to invest `1,000 crore. Hyosung Corporation officials came with a proposal to manufacture High Voltage Power Transformers with an investment of around `450 crore.
