Mumbai, May 01: Remember Ali Fazal aka Joy Lobo of 3 Idiots? After a blink and miss role in the superhit feature, Fazal has now landed himself a lead role in an upcoming film. Sources say that Fazal will be seen with the likes of Giselli Monteiro of Love Aaj Kal fame and Amrita Arora in the Red Chillies Production, Ek Tho Chance.
The film will be directed by Saeed Mirza. Ek Tho Chance, says the source, is not an out-an-out commercial venture and has three parallel stories.
Fazal is the lead in one of the tracks. The actor refused to confirm or deny this news.
However, Fazal says that he has been busy with a lot of English plays post 3 Idiots. “I’m actually pursuing my Masters in Economics from Kalina University but I’ve always been into theatre.
I love economics, but it was my love for theatre that landed me the part in 3 Idiots,” says Fazal. Ask him about his role in the American television mini-series, Bollywood Hero, and Fazal brushes it aside dejectedly.
“Please, don’t even mention it,” he jokes.
